Your privacy matters to Propxima. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use our platform. It is governed by the Cyber and Data Protection Act, 2021 (Chapter 12:07) of Zimbabwe.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, phone number, and any property listings or inquiries you submit. We also collect usage data automatically, such as IP addresses, device information, and browsing activity on the Platform.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your personal information to operate and improve the Platform, facilitate connections between buyers, renters, and agents, send you relevant notifications and updates, and comply with our legal obligations under Zimbabwean law. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

3. Information Sharing

We share your information only as necessary to provide the Service — for example, sharing your inquiry details with the relevant agent when you contact them. We may also share data with trusted service providers (such as cloud infrastructure and payment processors) who are contractually bound to protect your information and to process it only on our instructions.

4. Diaspora and International Access

If you are accessing the Platform from outside Zimbabwe, your personal data will be collected and processed in Zimbabwe in accordance with the Cyber and Data Protection Act, 2021. By using the Platform from abroad, you consent to this transfer and processing. We do not transfer your data to third countries without ensuring an adequate level of protection is in place.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services, and thereafter only to the extent required to comply with our legal obligations under Zimbabwean law. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.

6. Security

We use industry-standard security measures, including encryption in transit and at rest, to protect your personal information. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach that poses a risk to your rights, we will notify you and the relevant Zimbabwean regulatory authority as required by law.

7. Cookies

The Platform uses cookies and similar technologies to improve your experience, analyse usage, and personalise content. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling them may affect Platform functionality.

8. Your Rights Under Zimbabwean Law

Under the Cyber and Data Protection Act, 2021, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you;
• Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
• Request erasure of your personal data where it is no longer necessary;
• Object to or restrict the processing of your data in certain circumstances; and
• Lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority of Zimbabwe.

9. Children's Privacy

The Platform is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time in response to changes in Zimbabwean law or our practices. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page and, where appropriate, by email. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

11. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Zimbabwe, including the Cyber and Data Protection Act, 2021 (Chapter 12:07).
